{tootsie roll}

the medical school graduation gala was on thursday night and boy was it a blast!  we were able to get all dolled up and eat ourselves silly and dance the night away.  my kind of party.

we started the night off with pictures in a very windy area.  not the best pictures but still good memories with the whole gang.

on our way to the gala we decided to take some girl pictures with lake michigan in the background.  the girls looked amazing!

our sexy pose.  jenny isn't quite use to us.

the night started out with dinner.  the food was great!  there were so many things to choose from.  i, for one, was loving me some alfredo.

our table was completely full.  totally ridiculous but oh so good.

love this girl!

class of 2011

kels and i were sporting the flower in the hair look.

i don't exactly know what all of us were thinking with this picture.

getting our groove on.

kels was a maniac the whole night.  someone gave her one too many diet cokes.

the dance floor was totally packed at the beginning.  it began to dissipate when the bar closed.

mr. barber busting out his two step.  there is nothing better than witnessing his moves.  look at that snap action with those fingers.

things were a little crazy with us rabe's.

i would randomly start dancing with people on the floor.

jake was pulling awesome faces.

richard and jenny pretty much did this the whole night.  we didn't get richard out on the floor.

we were giving kels a shower.  i had never heard of that move so i had to be in on it.

now judd is married to a crazy girl who loves to dance.  he, however, doesn't.  so this was the best we could do all night.

dave and kels

phil and tiff (who is "trying" to do something with those hips.  her dress was very restricting in movement)

not mine though.  i had full motion and was getting down.  (i just aged myself 10 yrs with that comment)

the men of the night.

my man has some serious moves.  no really, he does.  every time he would start dancing the whole crowd would stop to watch.  he's all mine ladies!!!!!

the biggest surprise of the night was the well's.  they busted out a serious salsa dance.  i couldn't believe my eyes.  i wish i would have gotten a better picture but i was so tuned in to their moves i totally forgot.  way to go keith and jana!

and yes, i am all jake's.  i bet you are so jealous.  i had the time of my life.  my friends are so much fun to be with and we never have a dull moment.  there was so much dancing i was in heaven.  i needed this night more than jake did.

i'm so proud of jake.  he graduates on friday!!!!  you all better be watching out for

Dr. Jacob Rabe

he's the best looking doctor around.  love you babe!  best night.

{first you roast the mallow}

our dear friends the robertson's had all us crazies over for dinner to celebrate graduation.  it was such a good time.  they had the best meat for burgers!  i can still taste it jared.

after our meal wendy and jared got their fire pit out and we relaxed and talked the night away.  along with eating marshmallow after marshmallow.....

{i "mustache" you a question}

every night for bath time we do bubble bath.  the boys love it.  luke, for some reason, loves to stay in after the water is drained and play with all the bubbles left over.  this is the result of that.

we have our own kris kringle.  some how he is able to get the bubbles just right every single time.

a perfect mustache and beard.  what a goof.

of course nolan has to get in on the action.

i love this kid and his quirky ways.  he is the best.  and look at those eyes.  i give him anything he wants with those babies.

{tear}

i was packing up our apartment last saturday (mother's day eve) when my doorbell rings.  i open the door and there are the scaife girls (two of my young women) with some flowers and a note from each one of them.  i was completely caught off guard.  they really made my night!!!

after they left i read their notes and was in tears at the end.  i love those girls so much!  they said some pretty amazing things in their notes.  i will never forget my milwaukee gals.  i have loved my calling more than any other before.  i hope they will always stay close with me.  thanks girls for making my day, my week, my year.  love you to pieces.

{pure enjoyment}

awhile back my sister posted her boys singing this same song together.  my boys would watch it over and over again.  so they asked me to video them.  the difference between my boys and my sister's boys is nolan is just throwing around luke like a rag doll and luke is just bugging the heck out of nolan.  i couldn't stop laughing when watching it.  these boys make me laugh all day long.  i hope you enjoy this kim.

{rummage}

since a bunch of us are moving we decided to do a multi-family rummage sale.  (we thought we would get more people if we put multi-family on our signs)  it was so much fun!  we just bummed around and hung out with these pretties all day.  the kids road their bikes and bugged everyone that showed up.  a perfect saturday.  and we actually got rid of some stuff and made money in the process.  i highly recommend doing this if you are moving.

{pre-school graduation}

(nolan, katie, joe, caleb, olivia, and kaylee)
nolan did it!!!  he went through a whole year of pre-school.  he learned so much from his teachers and friends.  when we started it he didn't want to participate or do what the teacher asked him.  but now he loves it!!!  he has made huge changes in his behavior.  i'm so proud of my little boy.
don't you think nolan looks like "where the wild things are"?

we decided to have a little party for them at jacobus park.  the day rolled around and it was freezing.  but we had it outside anyway.  all the kids were great, except mine.  nolan and luke were so ornery.   so while all the other kids were being good and having fun.............

my kids were doing this.......

lukie was screaming so i put him on time out.

and nolan was sulking.  he just sat here and whined almost the entire time.  i don't know if it was because they both were cold or what but freak!!!  they definitely changed my envision of what a pre-school graduation would be.

at the end i did manage to get one pic of nolan.  that little stinker.  it's a good thing he's cute and i love him, or else.....

i still am so proud of nolan and can't wait to see what more this kid can learn.

{melting pot}

i don't know if any of you have heard about the ladies night at melting pot but it is an amazing deal.  my friends and i decided that we had to go before we were done here in milwaukee.  so last monday we headed out.

none of us had ever been there so we were totally excited about it.  the first part of the meal we had a wisconsin cheddar cheese and a spinach dip.  they were both to die for.  the cheddar was beer based and was (so they say) cooked out.  but kels and i completely finished all of our cheese and felt a little weird shortly after.

i mean look at how we cleaned house.  wendy and haley didn't even come close.

after the cheese we had their house salad followed by the best part ever...... dessert!  look at those dippings.  i want to go right now it looks so good.  we decided to get an oreo milk chocolate fondue and a banana white chocolate cinnamon fondue.  they were soooooooooo good!  again we ate the entire thing.

the chocolate lights on fire when the waiter heated it up.  so cool.

after we ate we sat and talked and laughed and laughed and laughed and then thought, could we be drunk from the very tiny amount of beer base cheddar fondue?

you tell me.  do we look a little crazy?  a little out of the norm maybe?

such a fun night.  we were sad tiff couldn't make it.  she is taking an upholstery class and is making an incredible chair and her class was extended so she wasn't able to come.  (tear)

after this fun-filled night i crashed on the bed and didn't hear a thing all night long.  i woke up a little groggy and thought again.....coincidence?  i sure hope not.  thanks for the great night ladies!!!
